ABOUT ME
Hi, I’m Holly Lofthouse, the chef and creator behind Life In The Lofthouse. I’ve been sharing recipes online for more than 15 years. Get to know more about me and my love for all things food below! 😊

How did you get into food blogging?
It all started as a simple hobby to share recipes with family and friends. I never imagined it would grow into what it is today: a full-blown career! I love that it connects me with home cooks everywhere. Cooking is my true passion in life!
If I’m new to your blog, where should I start?

Favorite guilty pleasure?
I’m a fan of reality TV, especially anything on Bravo, from Southern Charm to The Real Housewives shows. If we’re talking food, my favorite guilty pleasure has to be a crisp Diet Coke and Mexican food. I could eat tacos for breakfast any day of the week. 😋
Favorite holiday?
I LOVE Christmas! The meaning, the magic, and the food, I love it all. It is my favorite holiday by far. ❤️🎄
What do you like to do outside of work?
When I’m not in the kitchen, I love traveling, trying new foods, and making memories with my friends, family, and our dog, Winnie.
If you weren’t a food blogger, what would you be doing?
I can’t imagine not working with food in some way. But if I had to choose something else, it would be interior design. I enjoy decorating our home and am so inspired by designers.
Credentials/Experience:
I’ve been cooking since childhood and have always found joy in creating in the kitchen. Over the past 15 years, I’ve completed a variety of online culinary courses to refine my skills, most recently through the Bite Shot Academy. I have also attended numerous food blogging conferences, continually expanding my knowledge of the culinary world.
In January 2026, I was accepted into the Culinary Arts program at Dixie Tech and will begin my studies in August 2026. I am thrilled to take this next step!
In addition, I’m an avid cookbook collector with a library of over 200 cookbooks, which I regularly study to learn from some of the world’s most respected chefs.
Have you worked with any brands?
During my time blogging, I’ve worked with many incredible companies over the years. Fun fact: I was a recipe creator for Pillsbury for 5 years, creating recipes using their products, many of which you can still find on Pillsbury’s website.
