Wow. What a week. Or weekend, or whatever. Last Tuesday Kale and I flew to Denver for the Guns n’ Roses show. It was amazing in every way. The night before the concert we were walking to our hotel and noticed two giant black tour buses across the street from our hotel. Tiff (my big sis) and I looked at each other and said, “What if those are the Guns n’ Roses buses!?” The doorman overheard us and said, “Yes, they are!” Tiff and I started freaking out haha! The next day we walked over by the buses and waited for a bit. Before we knew it we were meeting Del James, the Guns tour manager, and Duff McKagan, the bass guitarist. It was so surreal and so amazing. Literally, one of the best days of my life!

We flew home Thursday and the very next day we took the kiddos down to Las Vegas for some school shopping and fun! We stayed at the Venetian hotel and it was so nice. We went swimming at one of their 10 pools and had so much fun! On Saturday we went school shopping at the Fashion Show Mall. Later we headed over to Chuck E Cheese for an early birthday celebration for Emma. She turns 10 on Wednesday! I still can’t believe it. 🙂

We did hear some really sad news on Saturday. Kelsey’s biological mother passed away Friday. Kale and I found out when we were still in Vegas, but didn’t want to ruin Kelsey’s vacation, so we told her when we got home on Sunday. We honestly didn’t know how she would take the news but she handled it very well. Kelsey hasn’t seen her since she was 3 years old. She did shed a couple of tears and said, “I’m only crying because she brought me into this world.” That broke my heart. She said she doesn’t even remember what she looks like. Which again, broke my heart.

So yeah, the last week has been intense. I’m glad to be home and even happier to be back to work. See you guys again tomorrow with a fun post! 🙂
