Storage

Store the caramel apple dip in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Keep the apple slices separate in a container with a little lemon juice and water to prevent browning, and drain before serving. This dip is best served chilled and does not require reheating. If you prefer a softer texture, you can let the dip sit at room temperature for 10-15 minutes before serving. Avoid freezing.

Holly’s Tips for the Best Fall Caramel Apple Dip:

  • Use Fresh Produce: Use the freshest produce available near you. This recipe calls for crisp, tart green apples like Granny Smith to balance out the sweetness of the caramel dip.
  • Use Softened Cream Cheese: For a smooth, creamy base that blends easily with the other ingredients.
  • Beat The Mixture Well: Use a hand mixer to ensure the caramel, brown sugar, and marshmallow fluff are fully combined and silky.
  • Drain Apple Slices: Be sure to drain the apple slices well before serving to avoid a watery dip and soggy fruit.
  • Serve Chilled: For the best creamy texture, serve it chilled. Let it sit for a few minutes at room temperature if you prefer a softer dip.

Can I make Caramel Apple Dip ahead of time?

Yes! Prepare the dip and refrigerate it in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Toss the apple slices just before serving to keep them fresh.

Toss the sliced apples immediately in a mixture of lemon juice and water as instructed. This helps keep them fresh and prevents browning.
