Storage and Reheating
Store leftovers for up to 3 days. I highly recommend you keep the cooked beef separate from the veggies and wait to add them until just before serving to keep them fresh and crisp.
Holly’s Tips For The Best Cheeseburger Bowls:
- Layer For Best Texture: Start with a base of warm ground beef, then layer the lettuce and toppings. Finish with a generous drizzle of sauce so every bite is packed with flavor and texture.
- Let The Sauce Chill: For the best flavor, let the Big Mac sauce sit in the fridge for at least 30 minutes before serving. This gives the ingredients time to meld and enhances that classic tangy taste.
- Meal-Prep Friendly: Get a head start by prepping all your ingredients in advance. Make the Big Mac sauce, chop the toppings, and cook the ground beef. Store each component in separate airtight containers and assemble fresh when it’s time to eat!
- Customize To Your Taste: Make it your own! Load up your bowl with your favorite burger toppings! Anything goes.

Frequently Asked Questions:
Absolutely! Ground turkey or chicken works well as a leaner alternative. Just season it generously to ensure you get the same flavor out of it.
My family and I always opt for classic burger toppings like lettuce, tomato, cheddar cheese, and pickles. You can also add avocado, bacon, jalapeños, or even a fried egg! We change it up every time we make this recipe.
Yes! Prepare and store each component—the beef, sauce, and toppings—separately in airtight containers. Assemble fresh when ready to eat for the best texture and flavor.
Yes, making the sauce ahead actually allows the flavors to meld even more! Store it in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days. Sometimes I make a double batch and keep it in the fridge to use on sandwiches, wraps, or even as a dip for fries during the week.
Use full-fat mayonnaise in the Big Mac sauce to keep it keto-approved, and opt for sugar-free ketchup or reduce the amount to lower the carbs. Load your bowl with plenty of chopped romaine lettuce, cheese, pickles, and other low-carb toppings like avocado or sautéed mushrooms. This way, you get all the delicious flavors without the extra carbs, making it a perfect keto-friendly meal!
This recipe is naturally gluten-free (no hamburger buns needed here!) as long as you use gluten-free ingredients. Be sure to check your Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, and dill pickle relish labels to confirm they don’t contain gluten or additives like malt vinegar.
