Wingers is a popular restaurant chain that originated here in Utah. They are best known for their ‘Sticky Sauce’. They pour this sauce over their breaded chicken fingers, and let me just say, it is AMAZING. Luckily, these incredible wraps can be easily made in the comfort of your own home!

Sticky Chicken Wraps

We eat these sticky chicken fingers in salads, dipped in ranch, and my favorite way- wrap style. We wrap up the coated breaded chicken in a flour tortilla, throw in some shredded cheddar cheese, lettuce and tomato, and Voila! The perfect dish for a family lunch or dinner. It is so good!

Sticky Chicken Finger Wraps are just about the tastiest darn things you’ve ever had. I make them at least once a month, if not more. My whole family loves them, picky eaters included. If you haven’t tried these yet then you definitely need to add them to this week’s meal plan.

Sticky Chicken Finger Wraps

Sweet and spicy glazed chicken fingers stuffed inside flour tortillas with lettuce, tomato and cheese. These wraps are great for lunch or dinner!

Ingredients

Sticky Sauce

  • 1/3 cup Frank's Original Hot Sauce
  • 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup water

Chicken Wraps

  • 8 breaded chicken fingers (warm from the deli or frozen (fully cook before eating)
  • 4 large burrito-size flour tortillas
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 small tomato sliced
  • 2 cups chopped lettuce

Instructions

Sticky Sauce

  • In a medium size saucepan, over medium heat, stir the hot sauce, brown sugar and water until sugar is dissolved and sauce is heated thoroughly and starts to boil; about 5 to 10 minutes. Turn off heat and remove saucepan from burner. Allow sauce to stand a few minutes to thicken.

Chicken Wraps

  • *If using frozen chicken fingers, bake according to package directions*
  • Place cooked chicken fingers in a large bowl. Pour the sticky sauce all over the chicken fingers. Gently toss with tongs to coat all of the chicken in sauce.
  • Place two sauce-coated chicken fingers onto one tortilla. Add desired amount of cheese, lettuce and tomato. Wrap up and serve immediately. Enjoy!

  2. Victoria- I really did’nt think they were all that spicy. I am not a big fan of way spicy stuff, and I think their great! Just in case, maybe drop the hot sauce down a tablespoon or two. : )

  10. This is my husband’s new favorite. He said the sauce makes it amazing. It is really good. The wraps were great because it cut the heat in the sauce so that you can’t really notice it. If I eat the chicken plain I notice the heat. I love the sweet and spicy combo. Another quick and really tasty recipe Holly. I’ve made it a few times already it was such a hit.

  12. I did this a bit differently. No, it doesn’t have to be Frank’s Hot Sauce. WalMart’s Great Choice worked okay for me. I simply grilled 2 small chicken breasts, cut them into fingers; then I poured the sauce over them & served them w/a tossed salad. Super Duper good! I don’t care for wraps so I just eliminated it.

  15. It is simply awesome when you get a whiff of the sauce & realize you have totally faked it like the Wingers sauce. So good. We have been making this for a while now & usually leave it off of the chicken for the little kitlens.

    FANTASTIC!! My 2nd time making these! I soak my raw chicken tenders in flavored buttermilk, than dip thEm in seasoned panko and fry them up. I make the sauce and finish them Off! These are over the moon delicious!! A keeper for sure! Thanks holly! Happy thanksgiving to you and the family!

    These are great! Hubby and I are buffalo chicken fiends and I’m a total sucker for those cheap, salty, breaded frozen chicken patties for some reason. We only have them sporadically, but I usually just toss them in homemade buffalo sauce and make wraps out of them with lettuce. but I love this sticky sauce – Again, thank you for a nice variation from my same-old, same-old!

    We just love this recipe.. Sticky Chicken Fingers. Easy to make no leftover easy clean up. And we just love the flavors just enough heat to make you want to eat more.
