Ingredients

Brownie Mix Cookies

  • 1 box (18.3 ounces) Fudge brownie mix (I used the Betty Crocker brand)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs beaten
  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 2 Tablespoons water

Cream Cheese Frosting

  • 5 ounces cream cheese, softened softened
  • 3 Tablespoons butter softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 ¼ cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  • For cookies: Whisk together the brownie mix and flour in a large bowl. Stir in the eggs until combined, then butter and water. Batter will be thick. Cover and refrigerate for one hour.
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Scoop tablespoonfuls of dough onto lightly greased cookie sheets, spacing at least 2 inches apart. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool on the cookie sheets. Cool completely before frosting.
  • For frosting: Cream the cream cheese and butter together, with a hand mixer, on medium speed. Add in vanilla extract and powdered sugar. Beat until soft and creamy. Spread frosting on cooled cookies.
