My Dad’s Tacos is one that always bring a smile to my face each time I make them. My Dad used to make these tacos when I was a kid.

Prep Time: 30 minutes
Servings: 10 tacos

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ pounds lean ground beef
  • 1 small white onion chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 jar Cheese Whiz
  • 10 small corn tortillas
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Taco toppings (lettuce, salsa, sour cream, etc.)

Instructions

  • Pour about a half to one cup of oil in a small skillet or deep fryer. Heat the oil over medium-low heat.
  • Place the ground beef and onion in a large skillet. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic salt. Cook and crumble beef over medium-high heat. Once beef is no longer pink, drain grease.
  • Meanwhile, fry the tortillas in the oil, about 30 seconds on each side. Lay the fried tortillas onto a plate with paper towels to soak up the grease.
  • Spread some Cheese Whiz (however much you like) onto each tortilla then top with the ground beef and all your favorite taco toppings. Enjoy!

Notes

Yields: 10 small tacos
