Arrange the chicken breasts in a single layer in a large baking dish. Season evenly with salt and pepper.
Spread the creamy Caesar dressing evenly over all the chicken breasts. Top the chicken with sliced provolone, covering each piece completely.
Crush the croutons into crumbs in a large Ziplock bag. Sprinkle the crouton crumbs evenly over the cheese.
Bake on the center rack for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the topping is golden brown. *If the crumb topping begins to brown too quickly, loosely tent the dish with foil for the remaining bake time. (The chicken is finished cooking when the internal temperature reaches 165°F.)
