Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. boneless, skinless chicken breasts (pounded to an even thickness)
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ cup creamy Caesar dressing
  • 8 slices provolone cheese
  • 1 cup Caesar-style croutons

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Arrange the chicken breasts in a single layer in a large baking dish. Season evenly with salt and pepper.
  • Spread the creamy Caesar dressing evenly over all the chicken breasts. Top the chicken with sliced provolone, covering each piece completely.
  • Crush the croutons into crumbs in a large Ziplock bag. Sprinkle the crouton crumbs evenly over the cheese.
  • Bake on the center rack for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the topping is golden brown. *If the crumb topping begins to brown too quickly, loosely tent the dish with foil for the remaining bake time. (The chicken is finished cooking when the internal temperature reaches 165°F.)
